Meet Sofia Mendoza
From serving tables to building a legacy.
Sofia came to the U.S. from Mexico at 15. She became a mom young, raised her kids as a single mother, earned her GED, and spent years working long shifts as a server.
Then one day at the small casino where she worked, she watched the cleaning crew come in and realized something: the people cleaning weren't the owners. She started asking questions, got brought in by someone with real experience in the industry, and learned the business the hard way.
She went on to help oversee a cleaning operation that grew to more than 60 employees and won millions of dollars in city and government contracts. Today she's 44, a mother of five, and part of Clean Owners Society so more people get the same chance.
"Where you start doesn't have to determine where you finish."
Sofia's story is her own experience, not a typical result or a promise of what you'll earn.
